An arrest in Cambria County can begin with the Cambria County Sheriff, Pennsylvania State Police, Johnstown Police, a borough or township department, or campus police. The Sheriff serves criminal and domestic-relations bench warrants. Municipal police handle incidents within their jurisdictions, and PSP uses its own records process. No single county office holds every police narrative. The agency that made the arrest keeps its incident or arrest report.

Custody creates a separate Cambria County Prison record. A Magisterial District Judge then receives the criminal complaint, conducts the preliminary arraignment, and sets bail. Looking Up Cambria County Arrests
